Car safety and children

Even at slow speeds, motor vehicle crashes can result in injury and children are especially vulnerable. Choosing the right car seat and ensuring it is properly fitted can dramatically reduce the risk of death and injury.

Not all car seats will fit every car and it’s important to choose the right one for the weight and height of the child. According to Good Egg Car Safety, almost 90% of the top car seat retailers failed to ask key safety questions when helping parents choose the right car seat for their baby.1

In 2017, Good Egg also reported an increase in the number of child car seats found to be incorrectly fitted, with 9 out of 10 car seat retailers failing to show parents how to fit car seats correctly.2

In this section you’ll find important information about i-Size, part of the latest child car seat regulation ECE R129.
